The Consulate of the Sea, created by merchants from Burgos, had special relevance at the end of the Middle Ages. From here, trade with Flanders was controlled from the port of Santander. Its neoclassical façade was built at the end of the 18th century, and in its pediment we can find an anchor, symbol of the Consulate. 💡Curiosities It currently houses the Burgos Provincial Drawing Academy and is the headquarters of the Burgos Royal Academy of History and Fine Arts Fernán González Institution. 🗺 How to get there?
